Teston Bridge is a Grade I listed building and straddles the river Medway in Kent offering a historic monument as well as a solid structure that carries 100's of road vehicles every day.
Built in the 15th Century from rag stone the bridge comprises of 6 arches that connect both river banks with a single lane roadway. Four parapets on the bridge act as pedestrian refuges whilst cars drive over the bridge and also offer great view points of the Medway river, it's navigating canal boats and the surrounding countryside.
As a local project Cadplan's surveyors surveyed the site using a combination of instruments:- a Phantom 4 PRO onboard camera which is equipped with a 1-inch 20-megapixel CMOS sensor normally used for our aerial surveys and the Faro 120s 3D laser scanner.
Produced is a 1m30sec film edited from aerial filming and animation created from 3d laser scanning. Enjoy!
