Property consultant EMMAUS contacted Cadplan to assist in their project to update an area of Harrod's store. The intricate detail of the listed building, built in 19th century needed to be documented and 3D laser scanning technology offered the best guarantee of achieving this. Using a Faro 120 S 3D laser scanner Cadplan's surveyors can scan detail accurately to within 2mm.
Documentation requested were floor plans, reflective ceiling plans, detailed internal wall elevations, point cloud data and a Webshare licence. Faro's Webshare software allows the architect, interior designer, facilities manager and contractor to view the scanned environment in 3D with the ability to measure and annotate where needed.
Cadplan's building surveyors were on site for 4 days with a further 5 days CAD work in house to complete and deliver the documentation.
