The Cadplan team were on site today to conduct the first part of the project: to laser scan the whole 1 km+ circuit and main paddock areas of Buckmore Park. Using some of the latest 3D laser scanning equipment - the Faro 3D 120S - the scanning will register every hairpin, chicane and straight of the race track to within 2mm detail.
Buckmore Park was founded in 1972 offering the fun, high adrenaline sport of karting for all and, is where promising talent have honed their skills including British World Champions Jensen Button and Lewis Hamilton.
Cadplan will create for a 3D fly-through model for marketing purposes as well as a Webshare of Buckmore Park of which facilities and maintenance personnel will be able to assess, measure and annotate track and building features.
