Extended Measured Building Survey For Hornsey Town Hall

Architect Fulkers requested Cadplan to update a Measured Building Survey of Hornsey Town Hall, North London.

Cadplan had documented the building in 2008 for the original refurbishment plan and now revisited it with a 3D laser scanner to update the previous documentation with even more accuracy.

The Grade II listed building was designed by New Zealander Reginald Uren and completed in 1935, functioning as a town hall until 1966 when administrative functions were moved to offices for the London Borough of Harringey.

The building is in an interim period between where it is currently being used as an arts centre, small offices and is also regularly used in TV productions for its art-deco backdrop. The whole site is now earmarked for a new hotel and extra housing as part of a £27m redevelopment.

Cadplan's surveyors extensively scanned the building for 8 days over a 4 week period. The completed measured building survey is to include Internal and External Elevations and Reflective Ceiling Plans is expected to be completed in 6 weeks.
