The 50 storey, energy-efficient tower was completed in 2014 and built to accommodate up to 5 apartments per floor within it’s extraordinary “Catherine Wheel” Style floor footprint.
The Buckingham Suite offers an awesome 360 degree view of London is earmarked for refurbishment and created a challenge to survey it with its circular inner walls and 5-spoked outer glass curtain.
Cadplan’s Faro 120 3D laser scanner provided the ideal tool for this unusual project where traditional surveying techniques would have had difficulties.
131 scans were taken in just one day documenting the property accurately and efficiently to provide a detailed floor plan.
The extensive data from the scan offers opportunities for further 2D documentation and 3D modelling when required.
