Thorp Design – the architects of the prestigious golf course refurbishment project – required 3D laser scanning and delivery of a measured building survey of the clubhouse, providing floor plans and detailed internal elevations of selected rooms.
The club that was founded in 1926 around the Wentworths House that was built in the 19th Century and housed the Duke of Wellington’s brother in law.
Since its inception it has held many prestigious golfing competitions and has grown to include Tennis and Health club too.
As part of the survey, Cadplan used a Faro 3D laser scanner with approximately 6 days on site.
A further 4/5 weeks was needed to complete project to register and document the intricate details of the clubhouse.
